If the house is overdue for some repairs or lawn maintenance, you want to make sure to get that taken care of before you put your home on the market.

Before you put your house on the market, it’s important to look ahead and determine what your plans are afterwards. Moving can be stressful so make sure that has been planned. Lastly, make sure to discontinue any utilities that are still under your name.

This is the legal contract a buyer and seller enter into once the buyer’s offer has been accepted by the seller. It outlines the terms and conditions of the sale and is signed by both parties.

Escrow is a third-party process in which documents and funds are deposited by buyers, sellers, and lenders to facilitate the closing of a real estate transaction. 

Seller closing costs during the sale of a home include but are not limited to: real estate agent commission fees typically 5-6% of the sales price, title & escrow fees, transfer taxes also known as excise tax (WA state).
